Excess/Over PronationExcessive/over pronation is a condition that can occur in all types of people, and is one of the most common causes of foot and leg discomfort.Pronation simply means "turning inwards", and when excessive, this can result in the feet becoming misaligned and rolling inwards to gain ground contact. This condition may cause fatigue, but as the problem gets progressively worse it puts a strain on muscles, tendons and ligaments, which can result in permanent problems and even deformities. Symptoms
Treatment & Prevention   Consult a registered chiropodist so that they can confirm the condition and advise what treatment is needed. To help reduce the pressure of excessive pronation, the use of paddings and orthotic insoles is recommended as they can help reduce the stress on the feet, knees and back. They can also help with shock absorption whilst walking. | |
