Why is hand hygiene important

Bossklein® IDactiv

INSTRUMENT DISINFECTANT & CLEANER 
For the disinfection and cleaning of manual instruments and tools. Also safe to use for rotating instruments such as burs, diamonds and polishers. Designed to remove organic debris and contamination before final sterilisation. Powerful microbial action with mild fresh aroma.

How to: instructions for use

1. Add 20ml ± 1ml to 980ml of clean water for a 2% solution, 40ml ± 1ml to 960ml for a 4% solution. To achieve full efficacy, use a 4% solution. The 1L bottle has a built-in dosing device, and the 2.5L a dosing cap.

2. Completely immerse the DISTILLED WATER instruments into the solution ensuring that no air is left within hollow instruments.

3. To achieve full efficacy, use a 4% solution for a 60 minute soaking time.

4. To Use: for a 60 minute soaking time. After disinfection, rinse instruments thoroughly with RO or distilled water prior to further processing and sterilisation. Follow the reprocessing instructions from the instrument manufacturer. Change the solution daily. See product labels and MSDS for further information.

> Suitable for items such as, but not limited to forceps, mirrors, scalpels, burs and Luxators. IDactiv has been verified safe to use on a wide range of materials, including stainless steel, acrylic glass, carbon steel, HDPE, silicone rubber, titanium and aluminium.

Testing matters

The objective of this study was to assess the potential effects of the IDactiv solution on various materials and coatings and ensure repeated exposure does not compromise the integrity, functionality, or longevity of the instruments. This test has been completed in conjunction with Trycare and designed to evaluate IDactiv for its material compatibility with a range of high quality instruments / tools from the podiatry/chiropody sector.
