Centrix® Making Dentistry Easier.

Now available exclusively from Trycare. Centrix was created in 1970 from an idea of Dr. William B. Dragan's to bring to the dental profession an easier way to deliver composite resins and cements from the mixing pad to the tooth. The new composite materials so impressed him with their vast potential in his dental practice, that he knew a simple, efficient, and effective way of delivering composite was a must for the dentist. After much experimentation, and trial and error, Dr. Dragan developed and patented the first practical syringe delivery system for composites in 1970. This was the original Mark I syringe and the C-R® (Composite Resin) tube and plug. The initial desire for the product was to interest large dental manufacturers of composite to take his idea, develop and manufacture it for the dentist. His efforts to interest any of these manufacturers was met with total indifference. This very indifference inspired Dr. Dragan to create his own development, manufacturing and marketing company. The goal of this company would be to create products aimed at helping the dentist in his everyday practice. This undertaking was begun with a simple product, the Mark I™ all stainless steel system with disposable C-R tubes and plugs.

Centrix NoMIX®

MOISTURE-ACTIVATED TEMPORARY CEMENT
NoMIX is the only pre-mixed, single-component, temporary cement available. It eliminates the mixing, spatulation and messy cleanup of traditional temporary cements, yet it provides superior retention. With low film thickness and eugenol-free, so it won't interfere with resin placements. NoMIX Temporary Cement is easier for you... and your patients.

  • Easy to use, dispense, clean and remove from prep
  • Expands slightly upon setting for a tight margin seal
  • Syringe delivery for chairside application
  • Take-home patient tube for emergency use

Active Ingredients

  1. Potassium Sulphate - desensitising effect on the tooth
  2. Zinc Oxide - anti-bacterial ingredient, prevents the “black fungus” and corresponding bad breath
  3. Calcium Sulfate - expands slightly for minimal leakage

FAQs

How does NoMIX® work?
NoMIX® has a unique dual setting reaction. First, the resin part sets rapidly on contact with water. Second, the calcium sulphate sets after a few minutes to give the final hardness.

How long does it take to set?
Once exposed to water, the material begins to set. Wait 5 minutes to remove excess. The material will be fully set in 15 minutes to an hour.

How do you clean off NoMIX®?
NoMIX can be removed easily. In the office: rub off the cotton roll; remove with scaler. By the patient: brush with toothbrush.

Does NoMIX® have eugenol in it?
No, there is no eugenol in NoMIX to inhibit resins from setting.

Can I replace Duralon with NoMIX®?
No. Duralon is a permanent cement made by 3M. Some doctors add a lubricant to Duralon to lower its mechanical adhesion and make it "less permanent." NoMIX would not be an appropriate substitute for Duralon. BUT NoMIX Take Home Units are a great solution for a patient should his permanent crown fall out.

What to do about sensitivity in a vital tooth?
If a patient is experiencing sensitivity to vital tooth when NoMIX applied, make sure the prep is wet. The material is drawing moisture from the dentin tubules and that is causing the patient sensitivity. Some patients are extra-sensitive, so an application of a dentin desensitizer like Glu/Sense or D/Sense Crystal would be in order to occlude the tubules PRIOR to cementation.
