A light, non-greasy moisturiser that provides a layer of oil on the skin to prevent water evaporating from the surface. It is made from water and emulsifying ointment which contains paraffin oils. It is helpful for all dry skin conditions, particularly eczema and dermatitis, which get worse when the skin is allowed to dry out. Aqueous cream can be used in place of soap when washing, to prevent the skin drying out. Used as a post operative rub to the foot, it is considered to increase the water uptake within the keratin cells. Gentle massage during application assists blood flow. Active ingredients: Emulsifying ointment and Phenoxyethanol.
