Glyceryl Trinitrate reduces the amount of work that the heart has to do to pump blood around the body so it helps to relieve the symptoms of heart failure. Glyceryl Trinitrate is also used during or after heart surgery if there is an insufficient supply of blood to the heart or to control high blood pressure.
